THE WEBLOGS AND THE SUCCESS OF A COMUNNITY OF PRACTICE
A deep sockl and technological transformation hás changed the way we manage the complexity of knowledge. A new generation of learners hás immersed in today's schools. It's a new studenfs generation, with new skills and capabilities. By doing, we learn. Knowledge is, in this way, inseparable from practice. Learning is fundamentally a social phenomenon. People organise their learning around the social communities to which they belong, these communities being called Communities of Practice. Social software is an emerging concept, based on participation, collaboration and interactivity. which improve communication among communities. This research project focuses on the relarion between the use of weblogs, and the success of a Community of Practice, based on Etienne Wenger's "Community oriented Technologies" study. A case study, based on the use of weblogs was implemented with young people of a school in Setúbal, Portugal.
