THE PERCEPTION OF EDUCATORS REGARDING ICT IN THE LEARNING OF ORAL HEALTH
ABSTRACT
Oral Health Education for children is an indispensable strategy for health promotion and prevention, due to the great importance of oral hygiene from birth through immediate care until the third age. Given that access to education and health are social rights of every citizen, and that Brazil is a country that has a high number of individuals with early loss of permanent teeth due to lack of oral hygiene, thus highlighting, As a serious public health problem, we sought to understand in this dissertative study, in its main objective, the perception of all educators of a kindergarten, daycare and preschool institution that serves children in the age group of two to five Years, located in the city of Maceió, Alagoas, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Oral Health learning, in order to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the context of Collective Health. The data of the qualitative research, of an analytical and interpretative character, were obtained through the application of the questionnaire survey to these professors and of the local observation, these data were processed using the program Microsoft Excel® for quantitative analysis. As a good result of the study, it was verified that most educators understand the importance of ICT in the teaching-learning process in Oral Health, being a technological benefit for the transmission of knowledge.
