STRATEGIES, CHALLENGES AND VISION OF THE WORKERS OF THE PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AREA

ABSTRACT

This study deals with the use of teaching modalities such as Distance Education and e-Learning, by state professionals in the area of health management in Alagoas, for their professional qualification and subsequent functional progression. What are the challenges encountered by the workers, what are the relevant advantages of distance learning and what is the perception of the respondents in relation to Distance Education, are some of the highlights.
To carry out this study, the methodological procedures adopted included bibliographical research, combined with a quantitative and descriptive approach through the application of a structured questionnaire.
The research covered the history of Distance Education in Brazil and in the world, how Distance Education is present in the Brazilian Unified Health System and how the Health Education Management has evolved and developed actions for its promotion.
We also verified the importance of the role of People Management within a public organization, what mechanisms it uses to provide the valorization and qualification of workers, as well as the role of the manager in the presented scenario. In the analysis of the data, it was evidenced the value that the area of People Management of the Health Department of Alagoas State dedicates to the modality of distance education through its perception and appreciation towards it.
It is believed that this study may contribute to future research in the area of Distance Education and E-Learning, especially in what concerns health workers, with the possibility that they may use the distance learning modality to expand their professional qualifications, resulting in career advancement.
