DIY COMMUNITIES AND ONLINE COLLABORATIVE LEARNING
ABSTRACT
This project work presents a study about the collaboration recognition process in asynchronous online discussions in a DIY community created in Edmodo. Using the model suggested by Murphy (2004) it seeks to understand the level of collaboration achieved, in a continuum that goes from interaction to collaboration, from social presence to the production of artifacts, using a set of digital tools. The development study technique goes mainly through content analysis, positioning itself within the interpretative or qualitative paradigm, according to the case study methodology. The analysis of the results shows the level of collaboration achieved by the group and the influence of some tools and methods, which conducted to it, making evident the need for further studies, in particular on the influence of the e-moderator.
